Product Introduction

FAG Wheel hub bearings are Schaeffler's automotive wheel hub bearing units. They are the core safety components of the wheel rotation part. They can bear radial loads and bidirectional axial composite loads at the same time, and integrate the two functions of wheel support and rotation guide. The products are divided into four iterative product lines: first-generation, second-generation, and third-generation modular units and commercial vehicle integrated wheel hub assemblies. They are pre-filled with long-lasting grease at the factory and equipped with high-performance multi-lip seal components. They are maintenance-free for life and do not need to adjust the clearance later, which greatly reduces the maintenance workload.

The first-generation product has an independent double-row bearing structure. Common double-row angular contact ball bearings and paired tapered roller bearings have no mounting flange. The second-generation bearing integrates a single-side mounting flange, which is easy to assemble. The third-generation highly integrated wheel hub unit has both a wheel flange and a steering knuckle flange. Some models have built-in ABS magnetic pulse encoders to output wheel speed signals for the vehicle's ABS and ESP body control systems to realize vehicle braking safety monitoring functions. The high-performance version of X‑life has optimized raceways to reduce running friction resistance, is resistant to high temperatures and impact, and has a significantly longer service life.

The sealing system adopts a multi-channel labyrinth + double-lip oil seal structure to effectively prevent corrosive media such as mud, water, dust, and snow melting salt from intruding into the inside of the bearing. The bearing steel is made of high-purity automobile-specific bearing steel, with stable heat treatment process and excellent fatigue resistance. The product line comprehensively covers passenger cars, SUVs, light trucks, heavy trucks, trailers, and buses.
